Kilwhang Ringers

Due to the current health situation, Kilwhang Ringers will not be rehearsing until further notice. Updates on this situation will be placed on our web site.

The Kilwhang Ringers continue to make music on handbells, with their home base now in St. Bridget's Hall. Rehearsals are on Mondays during Term Time from 10am until 12noon.

We number around fifteen ringers and there is always room for new people to join us. You do not have to read music, but it is an advantage to do so. Anyone can come along and try out hand bell ringing.

Our travels this past year have provided some interesting invitations. We joined the Silver City Chimes and Friends at Mannofield Church, Aberdeen, to celebrate thirty Years of Ringing. It was a wonderful afternoon of music and fellowship.

We were delighted to join the Parishioners of St. James' Church, Stonehaven, to take part in the celebration for their 'Priests and Pipes Exhibition' in November.

On the first Sunday evening of Advent, we helped lead worship at Dun Church, Hillside.

A regular highlight of our year is the Christingle Service on Christmas Eve when we ring alternately at Dunnottar and South Churches.

Our annual Coffee Morning and Performance is scheduled for Saturday 16th May 2020, when the Silver City Chimes will once again be joining. We will update when we know if this event will take place due to the current coronavirus issues.
